About COLETTE ACRA

Colette Acra is an American Lebanese artist. Her passion for art was evident from early childhood, sketching intimate family scenes and filling her school notebooks with drawings.

Over time, she developed a focus on portraits and figures, capturing people and moments from everyday life.

After graduating from the American University of Beirut, Colette pursued her artistic education studying fine arts, and opened her own studio in Beirut, where she welcomed art professors and fellow artists to collaborate, work, and exchange ideas in a creative environment.

She lived through the long Lebanese civil war, traveled extensively and built a successful professional career, most recently serving as General Manager of Lufthansa German Airlines for several years. Throughout, her creativity remained a constant presence.

Colette has exhibited her work in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. Since 2013, she has been based in San Diego, California, where she continues her artistic journey, inspired by the beauty of everyday life. A pianist as well, her love for music is often reflected in her paintings.
